Soren Carey is a set designer, costume designer, and scenic painter based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds an M.F.A. in Theatre Arts: Design and Technical Production from San Francisco State University, and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Sonoma State University.

Soren has been involved in dance and theatre for about 20 years. In her time at SSU, Soren found her place in technical theatre as a designer and painter. At San Francisco State University she had the opportunity to: design sets, props, costumes, and work as a lead paint charge in the theatre department's paint shop. Soren has spent the past few years working on shows in local theaters and schools, as well as teaching, directing, and designing for San Jose's Presentation High School.
